I am planning to build an interactive intranet/Internet site with advanced functionality that would include document routing, classification, etc. based on the contents of the files. It will use XML as a primary data format, so I was wondering are there any freeware/commercial tools that could enable me to manipulate the contents using some kind of rule-based system. I am aware of Jess... not so good when working with XML. Anything else?
